I'm interested in leading healing groups using THI's book-based programs. What's the training process like?
To be certified in any of THI's book-based programs, the following training process must be completed:
- Attend an Initial Equipping. This equipping session consists of experiencing a healing group and learning the skills and competencies THI facilitators need to lead groups successfully. Participants of the equipping sessions are evaluated by their trainers and can be given the Apprentice Facilitator certification. The time commitment for an Initial Equipping is a minimum of 20.5 hours spread out over several days. The schedule of an Initial Equipping is determined and customized by the facilitation team.
- Complete your practicum. The practicum consists of co-leading 2 healing groups alongside another facilitator. Your mentor (who is assigned to you during your Initial Equipping) is available to help you prep and debrief your healing groups. The healing groups led during the practicum MUST be reported to THI.
- Attend an Advanced Equipping. This equipping session consists of unpacking your practicum experience, learning higher level facilitation skills, reviewing lesson content in depth, and leading practice facilitation exercises. At the end of the Advanced Equipping, participants who have the necessary competencies are certified as either Healing Group Facilitators or Training Facilitators.
