How do I get trained to become a certified Trauma Healing facilitator?
Those who wish to lead healing groups, must first be trained and certified in any of THI's small group programs. Here's how you can get started:
- Experience a Healing Group. THI requires that all facilitators experience an adult healing group prior to their training experience. This will give you a sense of what a healing group is like as a participant, and help you decide if you want to lead healing groups yourself. Visit the THI Events Calendar to find a healing group that works for you.
- Determine what program you want to be trained in. Visit our Lead A Group page to learn about the different options. A brief description of the program offerings is below.
THI offers 2 ways to lead healing groups:
- Using our book-based programs. These programs requires attending an Initial Equipping session, completing a practicum, and attending an Advanced Equipping. Training requirements are about 60-80 hours to use any of our book-based programs. Visit the THI Events Calendar to find an Initial Equipping session to start your training journey!
- Using our app-based program. THI recently developed an adult app-based program, Anchored in Hope. To use this program, simply download the THI app from your app store onto your phone or tablet, create a free account, take the 2.5 hour video-based training, and then you'll get access to the program!
